Monitor Sending Volume, Credits, and Usage

Track how much of your plan's email and SMS volume (and any credit balances) you've consumed against your allotment, so a busy sending month doesn't turn into an overage surprise. This is a habit worth building for any admin who signs off on Broadcasts.

Before you begin

  • Admin access to the billing or account-usage area of your account.
  • An understanding of your plan's allotments — email sends, SMS segments, and any credit pools. (Confirm the exact figures on your plan summary.)
  • Your billing cycle dates, since most counters reset at the start of each cycle.

Steps

  1. Open the account or billing section and locate the usage summary. (Confirm the exact menu path in your account.)
  2. Review consumed vs allotted for each metered category — typically email volume, SMS segments, and any remaining credits.
  3. Note the counter's reset date so you know how much runway remains in the current cycle.
  4. Compare current pace against remaining days: if you've used most of your allotment early in the cycle, plan upcoming Broadcasts accordingly.
  5. If available, set up a usage alert or threshold notification so you're warned before hitting a limit. (Confirm whether alerting is enabled on your plan.)

Result

You can see, at a glance, how much sending volume and credit you've used and how much remains before the next reset — giving you time to throttle Broadcasts, buy more capacity, or upgrade before an overage occurs.
