Exclude a Specific Link from Tracking

Keep a chosen link untracked (for example, an unsubscribe or legal link) while tracking the rest.

By default, links in an Edition are rewritten so clicks can be measured. For some links you may not want that: an unsubscribe link should resolve directly, and certain legal, privacy, or compliance links are often required to point at the exact published URL without a redirect. This page shows how to mark a single link as excluded while the rest of your Edition stays fully tracked.

Before you begin

  • Open the Edition that contains the link, and know which link you want to leave untracked.
  • Have the exact destination URL ready, so the excluded link points where you expect.
  • Note that excluding a link means its clicks will not appear in your click reports.
  • (Confirm the exact option name and location in your account — the setting is applied per link in the link editor.)

Steps

  1. Open the Edition and select the specific link (text or image) you want to leave untracked.
  2. Open that link's settings from the editing toolbar or link dialog.
  3. Confirm the destination URL is correct and complete (including https://).
  4. Turn on the option that excludes this link from tracking (often shown as "do not track" or a tracking toggle on the link). (Confirm the exact label in your account.)
  5. Apply or save the link, then save the Edition.
  6. Send a test or preview to yourself and click the excluded link to confirm it goes straight to the destination.

Result

The excluded link resolves directly to its destination with no redirect, while every other link in the Edition remains tracked. After a Broadcast, this link's clicks will not appear in your reports; all other links continue to report normally.
