Grow Your List with Signup Forms

Capture new subscribers through hosted signup forms and welcome them with an automated Broadcast.

Scenario

You want to steadily grow a permission-based audience instead of buying or importing stale lists. Visitors to your website, event page, or social channels fill in a short hosted form; each confirmed submission adds a subscriber to the right audience, and a welcome Broadcast reaches them within minutes while their interest is fresh. The result is a self-serve, opt-in list that keeps growing without manual data entry.

Prerequisites

  • An audience (list) ready to receive new subscribers, or permission to create one.
  • The fields you want to collect decided in advance (for example, email, first name, and any preference or interest tags).
  • A short welcome Edition drafted in a Folder, ready to be sent as the automated Broadcast.
  • Access to your website or landing page where the form (or a link to it) will live.
  • A clear opt-in statement so submissions count as genuine consent (confirm your compliance wording in your account).

Steps

  1. Create the signup form. Build a hosted form, choose the fields to collect, and point it at the target audience. See Build signup forms and manage audiences.
  2. Publish and place the form. Publish the form and either embed it or link to its hosted page from your site, event registration, or social bio (confirm the exact steps in your account).
  3. Prepare the welcome Edition. Write a friendly welcome message that confirms the subscription and sets expectations. Personalize it with the fields you collected using personalization tags.
  4. Automate the welcome Broadcast. Set the welcome Edition to send automatically when a new subscriber joins the audience, so each signup is greeted promptly. See Send transactional and automated email.
  5. Keep the list clean. Honor unsubscribe requests and let bounces flow to account-wide suppression. See Manage the suppression list.

Measure success

  • Signup rate — new subscribers added over time; watch for lifts after you promote the form.
  • Welcome Broadcast open and click rates — confirm the automated greeting is landing and engaging.
  • List growth vs. attrition — net additions after unsubscribes and suppressions, to prove healthy, sustainable growth.
