Review and Approve a Broadcast
As an approver, review a pending Broadcast and approve or reject it before it sends. Approval acts as a final gate: nothing leaves your account until a designated reviewer signs off, which helps catch broken links, wrong audiences, and last-minute content mistakes.
Before you begin
- You need approver permission for the Folder (Project Folder) that holds the Edition. If you can't see pending items, ask an admin to grant it.
- The Author must have submitted the Edition for approval, so it shows a "pending" or "awaiting approval" state (confirm the exact label in your account).
- Know the intended audience and send time so you can confirm they match the request.
Steps
- Open the Folder containing the Edition and find the Broadcast marked as pending approval.
- Open the review view and preview the Edition. Check subject line, sender name, and rendered layout across desktop and mobile.
- Send yourself a test, then click every link and confirm personalization tokens resolve for a sample subscriber.
- Confirm the target audience (list, segment, or filter) and the scheduled date and time are correct.
- Choose to approve or reject (confirm the exact button labels in your account). When rejecting, add a clear comment describing what needs to change so the Author can fix and resubmit.
Result
On approval, the Broadcast is cleared to send at its scheduled time (or immediately, if sent now). On rejection, it returns to the Author with your comments and will not send until it is corrected and re-approved.
