Add or remove suppressed addresses

Manually suppress addresses or release ones that were suppressed in error.

The suppression list is an account-wide safety net: any address on it is skipped by every Broadcast, regardless of which Folder or Edition the send comes from. Add an address to stop mail reaching it, or remove one that landed there by mistake so future Broadcasts can include it again.

Before you begin​

  • Admin permissions for the account (adding and removing suppressions is a global action).
  • The exact email address, or a list of addresses, you want to add or release.
  • If you're releasing an address, confirm why it was suppressed first — hard bounces and spam complaints usually indicate a real delivery problem, and re-adding a known-bad address can hurt your sending reputation.
  • (Confirm the exact menu path to the suppression list in your account.)

Steps​

  1. Open the account-wide suppression list from the deliverability or admin area.
  2. To add an address, choose the option to add or import a suppression, then enter a single address or paste/upload a list. Optionally note a reason so others understand why it was suppressed.
  3. Save the change. The address takes effect immediately and is skipped by all future Broadcasts.
  4. To remove (release) an address, search for it in the list, select it, and choose the option to delete or release the suppression.
  5. Confirm the removal. The subscriber becomes eligible again for future Broadcasts (confirm the exact steps in your account).

Result​

Added addresses appear in the suppression list and are excluded from every subsequent Broadcast. Released addresses no longer appear and can receive mail again. Changes apply account-wide and do not affect Broadcasts already sent.
