Connect SharePoint for files and content
Link SharePoint so Authors can pull documents and assets into their Editions. Once connected, images, PDFs, and other approved files stored in SharePoint become available from within the editor, so Authors reuse governed content instead of re-uploading copies.
Before you begin
- Admin rights in the platform to add or manage integrations.
- Permission in SharePoint (or from your SharePoint administrator) to authorize an app and grant access to the sites or libraries you want to expose.
- The specific SharePoint sites, document libraries, or folders you plan to share with Authors.
- Sign-in is handled through your organization's Microsoft Entra ID, so have those credentials ready. If your account uses SSO, sign in the way you normally would.
Steps
- Open the integrations area in the admin settings and choose to add the SharePoint connection. (confirm the exact steps in your account)
- Sign in with Microsoft Entra ID and accept the permission prompt so the platform can read the selected content on your behalf.
- Select the SharePoint sites or document libraries to make available. Limit this to only the libraries Authors should see.
- Save the connection and confirm the status shows as connected.
- Open an Edition and, from the editor's file or image picker, browse to a SharePoint library to insert a document or asset. (confirm the exact steps in your account)
Result
The SharePoint connection shows as active in settings, and Authors can browse the shared libraries directly from the editor when building an Edition. Inserted files link to or embed the governed source content.
