Embed Spotify content in an Edition
Add Spotify tracks, playlists, or podcasts to an Edition so subscribers can jump straight to your audio. Because most email clients block the live Spotify player, the integration adds a clickable preview (cover art plus a play button) that opens the track, playlist, or show in Spotify.
Before you begin
- Confirm the Spotify integration is enabled for your account. If you don't see it, ask your account admin to turn it on (confirm the exact steps in your account).
- Have the Spotify item ready. In Spotify, use Share > Copy link on the track, playlist, album, or podcast episode you want to feature.
- Open the Edition you're building in its Project Folder, and place your cursor where the audio should appear.
Steps
- In the Edition editor, add a content block and choose the Spotify (or media/embed) option from the block or integration list (confirm the exact label in your account).
- Paste the Spotify share link you copied. The integration resolves the link and pulls in the cover art, title, and a play button.
- Adjust the display options offered — for example the layout, alt text, and the call-to-action label that accompanies the preview.
- Preview the Edition to check how the block renders, then send yourself a test Broadcast to confirm the click-through opens the correct Spotify item.
- Save the Edition.
Result
Your Edition shows a Spotify preview that links out to the track, playlist, album, or podcast. When a subscriber taps it, Spotify opens in their browser or app so they can listen. Click-throughs on the preview are counted as link clicks in your Broadcast report.
