Add a QR Code to an Edition
A QR code gives subscribers a way to move from your email to a mobile experience — a landing page, an offer, a survey, or an app — by scanning with a phone camera. Adding one to an Edition lets you bridge print, desktop, and on-screen reading into a single mobile action.
Before you begin
- The destination link (URL) you want the QR code to open. Use an HTTPS link and confirm it loads on a phone before you build.
- The Edition open in the editor, positioned where the QR code should appear (for example, near a call to action).
- Optional: any tracking parameters or personalization tokens you want appended to the destination link. (Confirm the exact insertion steps in your account.)
Steps
- Open the Edition and place your cursor in the content block where the QR code should go.
- Insert a QR code element from the content or interactive-content options in the editor toolbar. (Confirm the exact label and path in your account.)
- Paste your destination URL into the QR code's link field.
- Adjust the size so the code is at least roughly 2 cm / 100 px square when displayed — small codes are hard to scan.
- Add descriptive alt text (for example, "Scan to view the offer") so the code is accessible and understandable if the image does not render.
- Save the Edition.
Result
The QR code renders as an image in the Edition. Send yourself a test Broadcast, then scan the code with a phone camera to confirm it opens the correct destination. If your link uses tracking, verify scans appear in your reports after the test.
