Organize content into categories

Categories let subscribers browse your microsite by theme instead of scrolling one long list. Group related items — articles, announcements, resources — under labels like "News," "Product," or "Events" so people find what matters to them faster.

Before you begin

  • Publisher or editor access to the microsite (or experience) you want to organize.
  • A short, agreed list of category names. Fewer, broader categories usually work better than many narrow ones.
  • The content you plan to sort already added to the microsite. (Confirm the exact location in your account.)

Steps

  1. Open the microsite you want to organize.
  2. Go to the area where categories (sometimes called topics or collections) are managed.
  3. Create a category and give it a clear, subscriber-facing name. Add a short description if the option is available.
  4. Set the display order so the most important categories appear first.
  5. Assign each content item to one or more categories. Items with no category typically fall under a default or "Uncategorized" group.
  6. Preview the microsite to check how the categories read and navigate.
  7. Publish your changes so subscribers see the updated organization. (Confirm the exact steps in your account.)

Result

Subscribers can filter or browse the microsite by category, and each item appears under the labels you assigned. Empty categories usually stay hidden until they contain content.
