Automation
Automation lets you send Editions without pressing send each time — the platform delivers them on a schedule, over time, or in response to what a subscriber does. Reach for it whenever you want messages to go out on their own, from a welcome series to per-recipient transactional Broadcasts.
What you can do here
- Build drip campaigns and multi-step sequences that send Editions over time.
- Trigger an Edition or follow-up when a subscriber takes an action, such as a click or list join.
- Schedule recurring Broadcasts and date-based journeys like birthdays or renewals.
- Send personalized bulk or transactional Broadcasts from a spreadsheet.
- Test, start, pause, resume, and monitor your automations once they're live.

Concept
- Choosing the right automation type — Compare drip campaigns, triggered sends, recurring series, and transactional or bulk Broadcasts so you pick the best fit.
How To
- Build a welcome series — Automatically send a welcome Edition when a subscriber joins your audience.
- Build a multi-step drip sequence — Create a sequence of Editions that go out over time in the drip flow designer.
- Set up an auto-responder — Automatically reply with a set Edition when a subscriber meets a condition.
- Send an ad-hoc drip — Launch a quick, one-off drip to a chosen audience without a full campaign setup.
- Control drip timing and delays — Set the sending frequency and add wait steps between Editions in a drip.
- Choose who receives a drip — Select the list of subscribers a drip campaign sends to.
- Set what happens when a drip ends — Repeat the drip on a cycle or move subscribers into another drip when they finish.
- Send an Edition when a subscriber takes an action — Trigger an Edition or follow-up action from a subscriber event such as a click or list join.
- Schedule a recurring Broadcast — Set a Broadcast to send automatically on a repeating schedule.
- Send a personalized bulk Broadcast from a spreadsheet — Upload a spreadsheet to send a Broadcast personalized for each recipient.
- Send transactional messages — Automatically deliver per-recipient Editions such as receipts, confirmations, and reminders.
- Test an automation before it goes live — Preview and send test messages to confirm an automation works before starting it.
- Start, pause, resume, or end an automation — Control the run state of a live drip, trigger, or recurring series.
- Monitor your running automations — Track which automations are active, paused, or complete and how they are performing.
- Build a Birthday or Date-Based Automation — Common anniversary/renewal/date-triggered journeys aren't covered by the existing welcome/drip/action pages.
- Recover Abandoned Carts — Store/commerce integrations exist (Shopify, Magento, commerce section), yet the flagship revenue automation - abandoned-cart recovery - is missing.
