Add an A/B Image to an Edition

An A/B image lets you test two competing visuals inside a single Edition. Each subscriber sees one version, chosen by the split you set, and the platform records which version drives more opens, clicks, and conversions — so you can learn what resonates before you commit a whole Broadcast to one design.

Before you begin

  • Have both image versions ready — ideally the same dimensions so the layout stays stable whichever one a subscriber receives.
  • Open the Edition you want to test, and make sure it lives in the correct Folder (Project Folder).
  • Decide your split (for example, 50/50 for a fair test, or 80/20 if you want most subscribers to see a proven version). (confirm the exact steps in your account)

Steps

  1. Open your Edition in the editor and place your cursor where the image should appear.
  2. Insert an A/B image element from the interactive-content options rather than a standard image.
  3. Upload the first image (Version A), then upload the second image (Version B) into the same element.
  4. Set the split that determines what share of subscribers sees each version.
  5. Add link destinations and alt text for each version so tracking and accessibility work for both.
  6. Preview both versions, then save the Edition. (confirm the exact steps in your account)

Result

When the Edition is sent as a Broadcast, subscribers are shown one version according to your split, and per-version performance appears in your report so you can compare A against B.
