Add a Timed Image to an Edition

A Timed Image swaps the picture a subscriber sees based on when they open your Edition, so the same Broadcast can show a countdown, a "starts soon" banner, or an "it's live now" graphic without you sending multiple emails. This guide covers building the image schedule and dropping it into an Edition.

Before you begin

• An Edition open for editing in the Folder where you want to work.
• The images you want to rotate through, uploaded and hosted so each has a stable URL.
• The exact date/time boundaries for each image, and the time zone they apply to.
• A fallback image for subscribers whose email client blocks the timed behavior.

Steps

1. Open the Edition and place your cursor where the image should appear.
2. Insert a Timed Image element from the interactive or dynamic content options (confirm the exact steps in your account).
3. Add each image in order and set the time window that governs when it displays (start time, end time, or "after this point").
4. Set the time zone the schedule follows, and choose whether to evaluate against the subscriber's local time or a fixed zone.
5. Assign the fallback image shown before the first window, after the last window, or when open-time rendering isn't supported.
6. Preview the Edition, using any time-simulation option to check the image at different moments.
7. Save the Edition.

Result

The Timed Image is embedded and will display the correct picture based on open time. Send yourself a test Broadcast and open it at different points to confirm the schedule and fallback behave as expected.
