Link a Landing Page to an Edition

Connect a landing page to buttons and links inside an Edition so subscribers who click through land on the extended content, form, or experience you built to accompany the Broadcast.

Before you begin

  • A published (or preview-ready) landing page you want to link to, and its URL. (confirm the exact steps in your account)
  • The Edition open in the content editor, with the button or text link you want to wire up already placed.
  • Any personalization tokens you plan to append to the URL (for example, to pass the subscriber's identity through to a form). See Personalization tags.

Steps

  1. In the Edition, select the button, image, or text you want to turn into a link.
  2. Open the link settings for that element and choose to link to a URL (as opposed to an email address or anchor).
  3. Paste the landing page URL. Prefer the full https:// address so it resolves for every subscriber.
  4. To carry subscriber or campaign context into the landing page, append personalization tokens or tracking parameters to the URL as query string values. (confirm the exact token syntax in your account)
  5. Apply the link, then repeat for any other buttons or links that should point to the same page.
  6. Save the Edition.

Result

The linked element now opens the landing page. Send yourself a test or use preview mode, click the link, and confirm it opens the correct page and that any passed-through values populate as expected. Clicks are captured in the Broadcast's link reporting once the Edition is sent.
