Account Setup Checklist (Admin)
Work through these steps in order to get a new account ready for your team to send. Each links to the full how-to. Do them once, get them right, and Authors can start immediately.
Before you begin
- Admin access to the account.
- Access to your domain's DNS settings (or someone who has it) for the deliverability step.
- The list of people who will send messages (your Authors).
The checklist
- 1. Authenticate your sending domain. Add SPF, DKIM, and DMARC so mailbox providers trust your mail. This gates whether anything you send reaches the inbox. → Deliverability
- 2. Add and verify a sender (From) address. Set the address your Broadcasts come from. → Account & Access
- 3. Invite Authors and set roles. Give your team access with the right permissions. → Account & Access
- 4. Import your first audience. Bring in a list of subscribers to send to. → Audiences
- 5. Create a Folder and a first Edition. Set up where work is organized and build a message. → Content & Authoring
- 6. Send a test, then your first Broadcast. Verify rendering, then send for real. → Sending Campaigns
Result
When every box is checked, your account can send authenticated mail from a verified address, your team has access, and you've proven the end-to-end path with a real Broadcast.
