Create a signup (subscribe) form

A signup (subscribe) form gives new people a simple way to opt in, so you grow your audience with subscribers who have chosen to hear from you. This guide walks through building the form, choosing which audience it feeds, and publishing it where people can find it.

Before you begin

  • Access to your account's forms or audiences area, with permission to create forms.
  • The audience (list or segment) that new subscribers should join. Create it first if it doesn't exist yet.
  • The fields you want to collect — at minimum an email address, plus any others (name, preferences) you'll actually use.
  • Somewhere to publish the form: a page on your site, a link, or an embed.

Steps

  1. Start a new signup form and give it a clear internal name so you can find it later.
  2. Add the fields subscribers will fill in. Mark email as required, and only ask for extra fields you truly need — shorter forms convert better.
  3. Choose the destination audience so new subscribers are added to the right list or segment on submit.
  4. Set expectations: add a short consent line describing what people are signing up for. If your account uses confirmed (double) opt-in, enable it so subscribers confirm via email (confirm the exact steps in your account).
  5. Configure what happens after submit — a thank-you message or a redirect to a confirmation page.
  6. Style the form to match your brand, then save.
  7. Publish by embedding it on a page, sharing its hosted link, or adding it to a landing page.

Result

The form is live at its published location. When someone submits it, they're added to the destination audience (after confirming, if double opt-in is on) and are ready to receive your Broadcasts. Submit a test entry and confirm the new subscriber appears in the audience.
