Analyze visitors by segment
Break site traffic down by audience segment, source, and time of day to understand who is visiting and when. Segmenting visitor data helps you see which subscriber groups engage most, which channels drive the best traffic, and the hours when your microsites and landing pages get read.
Before you begin
- Confirm the microsite, landing page, or hosted content you want to analyze has been published and has received traffic.
- Make sure your subscriber segments are defined, so visits can be attributed to a group rather than lumped together.
- Have access to the reports or analytics area for the relevant Folder (confirm the exact steps in your account).
Steps
- Open the reports area and select the microsite or landing page you want to analyze.
- Choose the date range for the period you want to review, so trends are comparable.
- Apply a segment breakdown to group visits by audience (for example, by region, role, or a custom subscriber list).
- Add a source dimension to see which channel each visit came from — a Broadcast link, direct visit, or referral.
- Switch to a time of day (or day-of-week) view to spot when your subscribers are most active.
- Export or save the view if you want to share it or track it over time (confirm the exact steps in your account).
Result
You can see visitor counts split by segment, source, and time — letting you identify your most engaged audiences, your best-performing channels, and the best send windows for future Broadcasts.
