Review unsubscribes and spam complaints

See who opted out or reported a Broadcast and track your unsubscribe and complaint rates over time.

Unsubscribes and spam complaints are early warning signs. A short spike after one Broadcast usually points to that send; a slow climb across several Broadcasts often points to list quality, frequency, or targeting. Reviewing both regularly helps protect your sender reputation and keeps you compliant.

Before you begin

  • You need access to the reports area for the Folder that contains the Broadcast.
  • Send at least one Broadcast so there is data to review.
  • Know your baseline: unsubscribe rates below roughly 0.5% and complaint rates below roughly 0.1% are typical healthy targets. (Confirm the thresholds your program uses.)

Steps

  1. Open Reports and select the Broadcast (or a date range) you want to review. (Confirm the exact navigation in your account.)
  2. Find the summary metrics for Unsubscribes and Spam complaints — shown as both a count and a rate against delivered.
  3. Drill into the unsubscribe or complaint list to see which subscribers opted out or reported the message, and when.
  4. Compare rates across recent Broadcasts to spot a trend rather than reacting to a single send.
  5. Export the list if you need to share it or reconcile it against another system. (Confirm export options in your account.)
  6. Confirm that anyone who unsubscribed or complained has been added to your suppression list so they are excluded from future sends.

Result

You can identify who opted out or complained on any Broadcast, see your unsubscribe and complaint rates over time, and confirm those subscribers are suppressed from future Broadcasts.
